SSC has partnered with ISOL for it's 2013 summer league.  The past several years SSC has had its own summer 3v3 league.  Moving the league to ISOL for the summer allows for the players to get out of the heat and play.  Futsal is a fantastic game that improves footwork and helps players compete in a extremely fast paced environment.  Many of the skills that players develop playing futsal will help tremendously when playing outdoors.

• When and where are First Kicks (U4) and Micro (U5-U8) matches played? 

All matches are played at the SSC Complex -- 130 Walden Ridge Rd. Summerville, SC 29485.  Most matches are played on Saturday mornings with a possible match during the week (usually in cases of rain outs).

• How many days a week do they train?  

U4-U6 train once (1) a week; U8-U12 train twice (2) week.

• What times do the training sessions normally start? 

Training sessions start at either 5:30 PM or 7:00 PM

• How long are the training sessions?

U4-U6 train once (1) a week for approx 60 minutes; U8-U12 train twice (2) week, 75 to 90 minutes.

• How many matches are played each season?

8-10 matches

• When will I be contacted by a coach?

The week after registration closes.  Registration closes 1/10/13 (U9 - U12 only), 2/15/13 (U4 - U8 only)

SSC’s Junior Academy program is designed to support and guide players who wish to make the transition from recreational to competitive soccer.  The program’s purpose is to give motivated recreational players a more technically and athletically advanced training.  The Junior Academy will serve as link between the Recreation program and our Academy program (U9s – U12).

The Program seeks to create an engaging, competitive, but most of all, an enjoyable experience for each player.  Players participate in a 10 month season consisting of two 75 to 90 minute long training sessions weekly.  

Matches will occur on the weekends in our In-House Recreation and local Academy Leagues.  Players may seek more training opportunities if they choose as dictated by the staff, and are also encouraged to attend Goalkeeper training.  All Junior Academy players are trained and coached by the professional SSC Junior Academy staff.

If your player loves soccer and wants to take their game to the next level, the SSC Academy program will help get your player ready.  

Evaluations are not tryouts.  Players are not "cut", they are evaluated and placed with on a team of players with like skill levels.  SSC coaches understand that players develop at different speeds.  Some will excel early and some will be "late bloomers".  The Academy is designed to expose your player to the skills necessary to make the jump to competitive or HS soccer.
