Game Rules - Update

Game Rules UPDATE 9/26
For U4/U5 - New Ball // No Change
For U6 Clarification.  Law 16 on U6 Addendum (on left side of this page).  When the ball in play goes off the attacking team over the end line this results in a goal kick.

Law 16 The Goal Kick: the kick should be allowed to be taken from anywhere along the goal line over which the ball traveled. This is so the ball can be put back into play quickly. The ball should may be placed two or three yards into the field of play to make it easier for the child taking the goal kick to get the ball well into the field of play once it is kicked. The defending players must stand at least four yards away behind the GK line until it is in play (crosses the GK line).

For U8 Clarification. 4. SUBSTITUTIONS  (Laws of the Game U8 v4 posted on the right side of the page)

Substitutions may be made as follows:
·         Prior to a throw-in in your favor or when the opponent is subbing
·         Prior to any goal kick
·         After any goal
·         At half time and quarters
·         Following an injury (opposing team may also substitute on a one-for-one basis)

SSC and SCYSA recommend that all Recreation players participate in at least one half of the game time. If a player is present, but benched for disciplinary reasons, the referee and DOS must be informed prior to the start of the game.
