Doug Kifer
Coach Kifer is in his 25th year as a coach.
He has coached at the Rec, Select and HS. Born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia he played club soccer growing up for Interboro Soccer Club and the Upper Darby Soccer Club. After an All-State career at Interboro HS, Doug accepted a scholarship to play soccer at Baptist College (Charleston Southern University). An All-Big South player his senior year he moved back to Philadelphia and played in various men’s semi-pro leagues. Began his coaching career at the Interboro Soccer Club where he was named the Director of Coaching. As varsity coach of Interboro High School he took them to the state play-offs 3 of his 5 years. Since moving back to Summerville he has coached at SSC (2006- State Champs U13B), Bridge FA and SCUMP.
As Director of Soccer, He is responsible for all levels of soccer for U4-U12. Currently holds a USSF “D” license.
Doug Lives in Summerville with his wife, Bridgette, Daughter Emily, Sons Hunter and Christopher.
