RICK NOBBS
Coach Nobbs is in his 15th year as a coach.
He coached the Summerville Soccer Club U18 Girls team to a state championship in 2009. He is in his 3rd year leading the Fort Dorchester Boys Varsity team and coached FDHS Girls JV in 2007 and 2008. He participated in ODP selection in Hawaii and South Carolina. He currently has three former players playing in college. He was selected as HS Coach of the Year for Region 8.
Coach Nobbs holds several licenses: USSF "C" certification, NSCAA National, AYSO National Youth license, American Sports High School coaching certification and several other certifications. He played competitive soccer for base and command teams while in the Air Force.
He graduated from Summerville HS and Univ of SC. He completed a 20-year career as an Air Force Intelligence Officer in 2006.
Coach Nobbs is in his 5th year in FDHS’s Business department teaching Webpage Design and Digital Input Technology.
He is married to the former Kelly Yarborough (first grade teacher at Eagle’s Nest Elementary School) and he has two children Ryan (sophomore at USC) and Rachael (11th Grade at FDHS).
